Special services are held to celebrate important events during the Christian year. Holy week services are held each evening at 6pm during the week prior to Easter and the very moving service of Tenebrae is held at 6pm on Maundy Thursday.
The Good Friday service is held at 09h00 and the services on Easter Sunday are always well attended. On Ascension Day (always falls on a Thursday) a communion service is held and this is followed by traditional congregational breakfast cooked by the Minister!
On Christmas Eve
we have a service which
starts at 18h00 which is
always popular and the
service at 09h00 on Christmas Day
is invariably very well attended.
We also enjoy Carols by Candlelight in the George Hay Park opposite the Church, preceded by a picnic. This is a wonderful event which is attended by many of the congregation and community.
