St Columba’s is both a place

and a people marked by

Christian worship with a rich history,

diversely expressed through our members and ministers,

in response to the person and teaching of Christ,

seeking to understand and

live life in the changing context

of the times.

We place a high value

on the care of our members,

do what we can do to lighten the load

of the world around us

and engage in open-minded

conversation with people from

all walks of life.

Our Special Services

Special services are held to celebrate important events during the Christian year. Holy week services are held each evening during the week prior to Easter and the very moving service of Tenebrae is held at 19h00 on Maundy Thursday.

The Good Friday service is held at 09h00 and the services on Easter Sunday are always well attended.  On Ascension Day (always falls on a Thursday) a communion service is held and this is followed by traditional congregational breakfast cooked by the Ministers!

On Christmas Eve

we have a service which

starts at 18h00 which is

always popular and the

services at 09h00 on Christmas Day

are invariably very well attended.

We also enjoy Carols by Candlelight in the George Hay Park opposite the Church, preceded by a picnic. This will be held on 17th November 2020 at 6pm. Please join us for this wonderful event which is attended by many of the congregation and community.
